Andrew Truman Kim

Andrew Truman Kim is an entrepreneur, award-winning consultant, commercial broker, and angel investor - having generated and managed over $40 million in private equity and real estate investment deal value. In the past, Andrew served as a senior U.S. congressional staffer and campaign manager specializing in battleground campaigns and economic development initiatives. Andrew has built and managed high performing teams for nearly 2 decades - recruiting, training and deploying over 5,000 operatives for senatorial, congressional, and gubernatorial campaigns.

Andrew has chaired dozens of political action committees and business teams, while spearheading countless white papers and funding proposals. In 2018, Andrew was awarded by the American Association of Political Consultants for the AAPC West Region.

In 2008, Andrew first began his work with then California Lieutenant Governor John Garamendi, as the Deputy Finance Director for his gubernatorial campaign, prior to joining AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteer In Service to America) where he spearheaded community development programs in undeserved neighborhoods of Los Angeles.

In 2012, Andrew served as the District Project Director for Congressman John Garamendi, helping design and implement multiple workforce and small business development programs, ultimately serving 200+ small businesses and 4,000+ job seekers in the Greater Sacramento, Yolo and Solano regions. In 2013, Andrew became the Campaign Manager for Congressman John Garamendi, building a field operation that made over 1,000,000 voter contacts in less than 6 months.

In 2014, Andrew becomes the Managing Partner for Spafford & Lincoln, a political consulting firm specializing in organizational development and ground game operations. To date, Andrew and his firm have worked on over 40+ political campaigns / initiatives and collaborated with over 100+ elected officials nationwide. During the 2018 midterm elections, Andrew managed 6 statewide programs, 14 paid staff and 5,000+ volunteers to help reach over 1.5 million voters in highly competitive congressional districts in California. During the 2020 presidential election, Andrew organized and managed over 250 partner groups, representing 100,000+ volunteers nationwide, helping reach over 7.5 million voters in priority U.S. senate races. By 2020, Andrew's ground game programs have cumulatively reached over 10+ million voters nationwide.

As an aspiring real estate developer, Andrew has helped realize over $100 million in real estate development value and positive economic impact.  In 2018, Andrew led the initiative to help realize entitlements for the 1st Zero Net Energy Affordable Housing project in Davis's history - designed to provide record level affordable housing for 2,000 residents. As a commercial broker, landlord and asset manager, Andrew currently owns and manages 50+ rental units - focused on serving startup founders, entrepreneurs, and the growing workforce here in the Greater Sacramento area.

As an aspiring climate entrepreneur, Andrew has invested in multiple climate technology ventures - focused on sustainable agriculture, sustainable real estate development, and clean technology acceleration. Having worked on multi-million dollar raises, Andrew is an experienced fundraiser. Since 2018, Andrew has now raised millions in equity for real estate syndications, non-profits and climate projects - committed to advancing triple-bottom line impact. Andrew aims to bring best practices from multiple industries to produce operational excellence, metric driven results and innovative solutions. 

 

Andrew's personal mission is to validate the profitability of environmental entrepreneurship and triple-bottom line impact, while continuing to seek meaningful partnerships to tackle our world's most challenging problems. Andrew is a Certified Project Manager from Stanford University, and a proud UC Davis alumnus.
